Map 15 - River Petteril
Directions for Parking at P3, P4, P5 and P6 ( PLEASE NOTE - IT IS SINGLE BANK FISHING AT WINDERBOG FARM AND GREENLANDS WOOD): From Junction 41 (M6) take the 4th exit for the A6, at the next roundabout (Stoneybeck) take the 2nd exit, A6 for Carlisle.
For Parking at P3 (What3words - deeper.appendix.liberated): Travel on the A6 for approximately 5 miles and turn left for Calthwaite, stay on this road until you cross a bridge over the River Petteril, then park on the left on the grass verge, opposite the entrance to High Oaks Farm.
For Parking at P4 (What3words - propose.chapels.reefs): Follow the directions for P3, go past P3 and up to the crossroads (Calthwaite), turn right and go through Calthwaite then take next right for Wool Oaks Mill, travel down to Wool Oaks Mill, park in grounds beyond the stone barn, adjacent to the stone wall (do not disturb residents privacy).
For Parking at P5 (What3words - revisits.iceberg.shapeless): Travel on the A6 for 5.85 miles and turn left for Petteril Green, travel 0.6 miles, turn right to Trough Foot Farm (this track is not suitable for cars with spoilers), park in farmyard, do not obstruct gates or farm vehicles.
For Parking at P6 (What3words - skippers.canines.gangway): Travel on the A6 for approximately 7 miles and turn left for Ling (opp. High Hesket turn off/crossroads), travel down to the T junction and turn left, follow this road past Petteril bank Farm and down to the River Petteril, go over the bridge and park on the right.
