Directions for Parking at P5 (What3words - broadens.clutter.novelists): From Junction 40 (M6) take the A66 to the next roundabout, then take the 4th exit (A6 Shap), go through Eamont Bridge then turn right onto B5320 for Ullswater. Go over M6, past Yanwath and take the next left for Askham, travel through Askham and Bampton to arrive at Bampton Grange, at T junction at Bampton Grange park at lay-by opposite junction. Walk back along road to gate access for the river below sign 52 on the map.
Directions for Parking at P6 (What3words - demotion.trains.busters): From Junction 40 (M6) take the A66 to the next roundabout, then take the 4th exit (A6 Shap), go through Eamont Bridge then turn right onto B5320 for Ullswater. Go over M6, past Yanwath and take the next left for Askham, travel through Askham and Bampton to arrive at Bampton Grange, at the T junction turn right and head for Rosgill, just before Rosgill bridge (over river Lowther) park on the verge on the right-hand size as road turns to cross the bridge.
Directions for Parking at P7 (What3words - lengthen.centuries.tidal): From Junction 40 (M6) take the A66 to the next roundabout, then take the 4th exit (A6 Shap), go through Eamont Bridge then turn right onto B5320 for Ullswater. Go over M6, past Yanwath and take the next left for Askham, travel through Askham and Bampton to arrive at Bampton Grange, at the T junction turn right and head for Rosgill, go through Rosgill and up to the junction, turn right for Shap, stay on this road then take the next right for Shap Abbey and park in the Abbey visitor car park.
