Directions for Parking at P4 (What3words - lawyer.pillows.cracking): From Junction 40 (M6) take the A66 to the next roundabout, then take the 4th exit (A6 Shap), go through Eamont Bridge then turn right onto B5320 for Ullswater. Go over M6, past Yanwath and take the next left for Askham, carry on through Askham for Haweswater and take the next left for Whale, stay on this road and go through two gates and park on grass verge.
Directions for Parking at P5 (What3words - broadens.clutter.novelists): From Junction 40 (M6) take the A66 to the next roundabout, then take the 4th exit (A6 Shap), go through Eamont Bridge then turn right onto B5320 for Ullswater. Go over M6, past Yanwath and take the next left for Askham, travel through Askham and Bamptonto arrive at Bampton Grange, at the T junction at Bampton Grange park at the lay-by opposite junction. Walk back along the road to the gate giving access for the river below sign 52 on the map.
