Directions for Parking at P1, P2, P3 and P4: From Junction 40 (M6) take the A66 to the next roundabout, then take the 4th exit (A6 Shap), go through Eamont Bridge then turn right onto B5320 for Ullswater. Go over M6, past Yanwath and take the next left for Askham, carry on through Askham for Haweswater and take the next left for Whale and continue as follows:
For Parking at P1 (What3words - kicked.pegs.guard): travel towards Whale and park on right-hand verge just before the bridge.
For Parking at P2 (What3words - advancing.diver.jolly): travel towards Whale, go over the bridge and park on left at double gates and style - DO NOT OBSTRUCT THE GATES.
For Parking at P3 (What3words - mend.candle.recur): travel towards Whale, go over the bridge and just before the turn off (on left) for Whale park on the grass verge on the left-hand side . Access to the river is on the right, through the gate and down the footpath (shown on map)
For Parking at P4 (What3words - lawyer.pillows.cracking): travel towards Whale, stay on this road and go through two gates and park on grass verge.
